LOWDON Gladys of Sandringham Care Home, Bishop Auckland, (formerly of Butterknowle), died in hospital on August 14, aged 97 years. Beloved wife of the late John Robert, devoted mother of Cecil and David, dear mother-in-law to Linda and the late Jean and a much loved grandmother and great-grandmother. Funeral Service at St. John's Church, Lynesack, on Thursday, August 23, at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment in the cemetery. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only please, donations if desired may be given on the plate provided in the church for St. John’s Church Funds.
