Estate agents join the Your Move brand

HALIFAX estate agents in Chester-le-Street and Consett have now joined Your Move, Britain’s biggest single-branded estate agency network, and will now trade under the name of Your Move Chris Stonock.

“It’s the same great team providing the same great service,”

said Mandy Dixon, of Your Move in Consett.

“We’ve been selling houses in Consett and Chester-le- Street for more than 20 years and by joining Your Move can reach more potential buyers than ever before and enhance the expert service for which we have always been renowned.

“Our greatest strength lies in the quality of our professionally- qualified people, who are experts in selling quickly for the best price – and they are now backed by Your Move’s huge buyers’ network.

“All existing staff have remained with the business, bringing with them extensive local knowledge of the property market.

The previous Halifax Estate Agency branches at Houghton-le-Spring, Low Fell, Rowlands Gill, Washington and in the west end of Newcastle have also become Your Move Chris Stonock branches.

They bear the name of Chris Stonock, chartered surveyor and an equity partner with Halifax Estate Agents, who has more than 30 years’ experience in the local property market.

He was regional director for the North of England for Halifax Estate Agents for more than 15 years.

The branches in North Burns, Chester-le-Street, and Middle Street, Consett, both enjoyed a successful 2009.

“Although the market remains challenging, we moved significantly more customers than we did in both 2007 and 2008,” said Sharon MacFeggan, of the Chester-le-Street branch.

“December was an unusually busy month until the snow arrived. Now that it has gone, we’re anticipating a rapid upturn in activity.”
