Durham. – This week’s meeting was a talk by Paul Hunter, of Ritchey Tag, on the new EID regulations for sheep.

It was a good night and well attended by both present and past members from Durham City, Sedgefield and Butsfield. Next week’s meeting is a talk from a land agent at Byers Green Church Hall at 7.30pm. Our annual supper is on Friday, Febuary 19, at Spennymoor Town Hall. Elwick. – This week’s meeting was a visit to Peterlee fire station, where members found out what the fire service does, apart from fighting fires.

Sedgefield. – Last week’s meeting was a talk from RABI.

Thanks to Sally Connor for an interesting talk. Well done to everyone who took part in the quiz last week and to members who took part in the county sheep judging at the weekend. The county Valentine’s disco will be held at the Jersey Farm on February 12.

Tickets are available on the door and cost £6 (£7 for nonmembers).

Tickets for Durham City’s annual supper on February 19 at Spennymoor Town Hall cost £18; money should be given to Sally as soon as possible.

Sedgefield holds an interclub volleyball night on February 23 to put together a county team for the northern area weekend; contact Sally for details.
