Housing group goes green

A SOCIAL housing group is to build an environmentally minded head office.

Derwentside Homes has been granted planning permission for the £3.3m ecooffice near Consett.

It has been designed by North-East architects Browne Smith Baker, who were responsible for designing the nearby £6.8m Tanfield Lea Business Centre, and will span 24,000sq ft over two floors.
