From the Durham County Advertiser 50 years ago. Residents of a quiet street in Durham City are annoyed that gardens facing their homes have been chosen as the site for a prefabricated church. Local Spiritualists, however, are delighted because for the first time since the movement was founded in Durham 40 years ago, they believe they will soon have a permanent meeting place.
