THE Mayor of Durham had a preview of last weekend's highly successful Durham Beer Festival.
Coun Grenville Holland and his wife Olive were guests of festival organisers Durham CAMRA at the trade event, held before the event opened to the public on Thursday evening.
Others attending the preview included local journalists and publicans whose hostelries feature in the Good Beer Guide.
The festival, held in Dunelm House, featured ales from all parts of the country and was so successful that it was drunk dry.
