ABOUT 90 guests gathered for the County Durham and Teesside branch of the British Red Cross’ spring lunch.
The lunch was held at Whitworth Hall, near Spennymoor, on Sunday. The occasion was the annual event’s tenth anniversary.
Following the lunch, there was a talk and informal entertainment.
The speaker was Ernie Coe, from Morpeth, Northumberland, who explored Northumbrian humour.
Informal musical entertainment came from Middlesbrough- born soprano Suzannah Clarke.
Proceeds raised at the event will go to the charity’s efforts to care for people in crisis.
