POLICE say they are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of a 61-year-old man who has been missing from his home for two days.
Arthur Edward Lamb, of Short Row, Burn Moor, near Chester-le-Street, is thought to be suffering from depression.
He was last seen at his home at 6.15pm on Thursday, when he was said to be wearing a suit.
He is described as 6ft 1in tall, with a gaunt appearance, and walks with a stoop.
He has a full head of grey/white hair and black bushy eyebrows.
Police have asked Mr Lamb, who is unmarried, to contact them or members of his family urgently.
Anyone who sees anyone fitting the description is asked to call Durham Police on 101.
