Light Up A Life

People who wish to celebrate the memory of a loved one are being given the chance to take part in this year's Light up a Life appeal.

St Cuthbert's Hospice will be dedicating a Tree of Lights in a ceremony at Durham Cathedral on Sunday, November 11, at 6.30pm.

The Tree of Lights will be kept at the hospice in Merryoaks - each light on the tree marking a loved one who has passed away. The books of remembrance listing the names of those to whom the lights are dedicated will also be blessed at the cathedral service.

To add a light to the tree, simply send in the form - included in the November 2 edition of the Durham Times or available here as a download - to the hospice ahead of the November 7 deadline.

Alternatively, telephone St Cuthbert's Hospice on 0191-386-1170.
