PUPILS have joined children from around the world in contributing to an art project.
Youngsters from two Durham City schools were the latest to take part in the Same Difference exhibition yesterday.
Children from St Joseph’s RC Primary and St Hild’s College CE Primary were involved.
Sonia Laverick, a teacher at St Hild’s, said pupils drew their favourite thing and, on the back of the paper, wrote what they liked and did not like about where they live, and what they would like to do when they grow up.
At St Hild’s, about 25 children aged ten and 11 took part.
The Same Difference exhibition is run by artist Ross Georgeson. It has already visited destinations including Brazil, Bolivia and Palestine.
It was devised to boost the confidence and self-esteem of children living in difficult circumstances around the world.
The exhibition will be on display at Durham’s Clayport Library until Friday, November 14.
