Do or die day for Shotley Bridge

With just seven games remaining in the Wellstream NTSL it’s do or die day for Shotley Bridge.

The second-placed side are 19 points behind today’s hosts Swalwell, and a defeat would probably mean the end of their dreams of stripping the champions of their title.

Swalwell’s only concern is over the fitness of James Welch, although it is odds on he will play, while the Bridge welcome back Aman Dhindsa, with Will Cleaver being replaced by Lewis Hall.

At the opposite end of the table Ryton are almost in the last chance saloon, with home victory a virtual must against Morpeth if top flight status is to be retained, while their partners in the basement battle, Benwell & Walbottle, are also running out of time and need to add to their record of just one win to date when they entertain Tynedale.
