IT WAS very much a case of after the Lord Mayor’s Show as City followed the highs of two wins in four days with a lacklustre display against Kendal Town at the Lakeland Radio Stadium on Saturday.

REPORTS on Friday afternoon suggested that the pitch at Guiseley was partially under water, so it was surprising to hear on Saturday morning that their pitch had passed an early inspection. Their ground staff must be heroes.
