Gyan completes Sunderland exit

OUT: Asamoah Gyan OUT: Asamoah Gyan

ASAMOAH Gyan has completed his departure from Sunderland by signing a permanent contract with Middle-Eastern side Al-Ain.

The UAE club are understood to have paid the Black Cats an additional £6m to the £6m they shelled out to sign him on a season-long loan last September.

Gyan became Sunderland's record signing when he left Rennes in a £13m switch two summers ago, but clauses in his deal mean the Wearsiders have not had to pay the full amount.

Gyan made 37 senior appearances for Sunderland, scoring 11 goals.

With Nicklas Bendtner also having departed at the end of last term, Martin O'Neill will make the signing of a striker a key priority this summer.

shows how awful playing for 5under1and is when he prefers to play in front of about 300 fans and 7 camels.
